Global Law Firm Freshfields is advising BPEA Private Equity Fund VI (“EQT“) alongside PAI Partners (“PAI”) on the sale of World Freight Company (“WFC”), a leading global air freight services provider to Brookfield through its private equity business.
Founded in 2004, WFC has grown into one of the world’s largest general sales and service agents for the global air freight industry. The company represents airlines to sell and manage cargo capacity while coordinating key operational activities including booking, handling and shipment oversight. WFC serves more than 300 airlines on 3,500 trade lanes and over 16,000 freight forwarders across more than 80 countries and key international trade routes.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to complete by the end of 2026.
