1. Present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner
assailing order dated 16.01.2020, whereby, his candidature for
recruitment to the post of Soldier General Duty (All Arms) in the
Indian Army has been cancelled by the DDG Rtg (Raj). The
petitioner has further prayed for a direction to the respondents to
send him for training in pursuance of the call letter dated
20.09.2019.
2. The facts, as pleaded in the writ petition, are that the
respondents initiated a recruitment process in the year 2019 for
the post of Soldier General Duty (All Arms). The petitioner, being
eligible, applied online and he was issued an admit card dated

06.07.2019 to appear in the physical test held on 07.07.2019 at
Jodhpur. The petitioner successfully cleared the physical test and
was, thereafter, subjected to medical examination, which he also
cleared. Subsequently, he was issued an admit card dated
25.08.2019 to appear in the written examination. The petitioner
appeared in the examination and qualified the same. Thereafter, a
call letter dated 20.09.2019 was issued to him requiring his
presence on 04.10.2019 before the competent authority along
with requisite documents.
