About TISS
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (www.tiss. ac.in), established in the year 1936 is a Deemed to be University, under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, a grant-in-aid Institute under Ministry of Education, Government of India. TISS is a Grade I University as per NAAC assessment 2024.
About the School
The School of Skill Education was set up in 2011 to spearhead the Institute’s commitment to provide specialised skill education and training to millions of youth in India through appropriately designed industry relevant/ market oriented skill educational programmes.
Eligibility
A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Social Sciences / Social Work / Related fields from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Job Description
- To teach and provide academic support to the academic programs of the School of Skill Education.
- To design and teach practice-based, industry-linked programmes.

Fee
The application fee is Rs 1000/- for General and OBC Candidates (to be paid online). The SC/ST/PWD candidates are required to pay fees of Rs. 250/- (to be paid online) if they attach the required certificate along with the application form.
The women applicants are waived from the payment of application fees. The application will be valid only on receipt of the application fee, if applicable. Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Interview
The eligible candidates will be communicated by an e-mail to attend the online interview.
Date of joining
Selected Candidates are expected to join within 15 days of their selection.
