2. Heard Ms. Kruti Shah, learned counsel for the Appellant and
Mr. Prashant Bhagwati, learned counsel for the State. The Defacto-
complainant, though served, is not appearing. The Appellant has
sought quashing of FIR being C.R. No. I-79 of 2016 registered in
Umra police station, Surat for the offence punishable under
Sections 323,504,506(2) and 498(A) IPC and Sections 3,5 and 7 of
Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
2. The undisputed fact as emerging from the FIR are as under:
(i) The Appellant and respondent no. 2 were married on 15.02.1994.
