1. A time barred appeal under section 176 of the Motor Vehicles
Act, 1976 is intended to be maintained by the aggrieved parents of the
deceased-Nitin Kumar Uppal who was the driver of the accident vehicle
No. JK02AT/1499 owned by Sanam Goswami.
2. Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (Additional Sessions Judge
Anti-Corruption), Jammu in a claim petition on file No. 22/2022 has
granted compensation of Rs. 2,50,000/- in favour of the appellants.
3. The institution of the appeal is time barred, as such,
accompanied with an application CM No. 1354/2026. Delay is of eight
days.
4. In the interest of justice in considering the fact that the
appellants are senior citizens, as such, delay is condoned and the
appeal is taken on record.
5. Issue notice to the respondent.
6. Ms. Damini Chouhan, Advocate appearing vice Mr. D. S.
Chouhan, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

8. In the meantime, send for the record of file No. 22/2022 from
