ICICI Prudential Life Insurance on Friday said it is unaware of any developments regarding a reported proposal by Bharti Group to sell a large stake in its insurance business to Prudential, dismissing a media report that had triggered market speculation.
In a regulatory filing, the company clarified that it has no information regarding any such move involving its promoter, Prudential Corporation Holdings Limited, or any of its group entities .
“In this regard and in continuation of our submission dated March 19, 2026, the company is unaware of any such developments,” ICICI Prudential Life said in its clarification to stock exchanges.
The company had earlier stated that it was unaware of any such developments regarding Prudential’s exit from its life insurance joint venture with ICICI Bank.
The company further stated that Prudential Corporation Holdings has reiterated its standard position on market speculation, saying, “We do not comment on market rumours or speculations.”
