National Law University Delhi, under the aegis of the National Academy of Law Teachers, organised the Academic Conclave titled “We & the Law Schools: Conversations That Matter” on 18 April 2026.

Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, NLUD, delivered the welcome address, emphasising the importance of fostering spaces for academic reflection, dialogue, and institutional introspection within legal education. The opening address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Sreejith S. G., Professor, Jindal Global Law School who spoke eloquently on the “‘We’ in Law Schools: Ownership, Responsibility and Academic Integrity” and foregrounded critical questions of institutional responsibility and academic culture. Prof. (Dr.) Risham Garg, Registrar, NLUD delivered the vote of thanks.

 

Conceptualised as a discussion-driven academic space, the conclave brought together scholars for focused engagement on legal scholarship, pedagogy, and mentorship. Moving beyond conventional formats, the sessions encouraged sharper interventions, critical reflection, and meaningful dialogue on the evolving landscape of legal education. The discussions were moderated by the organising committee, including Dr. Garima Tiwari, Associate Professor, NLUD, and Ms. Vibhuti Sharma, Academic Fellow, NLUD.
