About NLUJAA
The National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA) has been established by the Government of Assam through the enactment of the National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009 (Assam Act No. XXV of 2009).
The University has established several Research Centres to promote advanced legal studies and research. The University has set up the Centres to address the socio-legal issues and challenges with a specific thrust on the North-East region.
About Centre for Child Rights (CCR)
In furtherance of the research objectives of NLUJA, Assam, the Executive Council of NLUJA, Assam in its meeting held on January 19, 2015, established several Specialised Centres of Excellence for promotion of advanced research, teaching and study.
Centre for Child Rights (CCR) is a specialised Centre to address issues relating to children, and is one of the prominent ones.
The CCR was officially inaugurated through a national-level event organised by NLUJA, Assam, on March 14, 2015, viz., the National Conference on “Protection of Rights of Children: Issues and Challenges” and Inauguration of CCR.
Theme
The Editorial Board invites submissions for the Blog on the broader theme of the following:
- Child Rights Law & Policy
- Child marriages
- Child labour, trafficking and exploitation
- Juvenile Justice
- POCSO
- Right to education
- Welfare Legislations
- International Child Rights Framework Case comments & Review of judgments

Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be original. By submitting an article, the author undertakes that it has not been submitted, accepted, or published elsewhere.
- All submissions shall be made to ccr@nluassam.ac.in with the subject “SubmissionforIuraPueri Blog”.
- The permissible limit of plagiarism is 15%.
- AI & Plagiarism will result in summary rejection of the submission (including self- plagiarism).
- Submissions must be made in .doc/.docx formats only.
- Submissions made via email shall necessarily contain the following in the body of the email: Name of the Author, Institution/Organisation of affiliation, Year of Study (If applicable), Short Bio (Not exceeding 50 words).
Word Limit and Styling
- Submissions should ideally be between 1000-2000 words in length.
- Co-authorship allowed for a maximum of two (2) authors.
- The manuscript should be free from any artwork or border lines.
- The content should be written in Times New Roman Font with a size of 12. Line Spacing should be 1.5, and all texts should be justified.
- There shall be a paragraph spacing between every heading and sub-headings.
- The article should contain endnotes or hyperlinks and Not footnotes. All endnotes must be in Times New Roman font, with size 10 and line spacing.
Review Process
- Submissions for the blog shall be reviewed on a rolling basis.
- Receipt of submissions shall be conveyed at the earliest.
- The Editorial Board may take up to 04 weeks for the review of submissions.
- For any editorial changes suggested after preliminary acceptance, the author is requested to respond at the earliest.
- These changes made by the author will then be subjected to another review. The final decision regarding the acceptance/rejection will be conveyed only after this process.
- Due to the high volume of submissions, the email response time shall be longer than expected.
- Relaxation or changes in any rules is subject to the discretion of the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board has full discretion to reject articles at any stage.
