Digital India Internship Programme for UG Students, New Delhi

About Digital India Internship Programme

Under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Digital India programme aims to democratise digital services and strengthen e-governance across India.

Law students intern on areas such as legal compliance, data protection, cybersecurity regulations, digital rights policies, and the intersection of technology law with government services, contributing to frameworks like the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Internship Purpose

An internship is an opportunity for a student to secure first hand and practical work experience under the guidance of a qualified and experienced Supervisor/Mentor. It also aims at active participation in the learning process through experimentation and putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the classrooms.

Eligibility

Indian students from recognised universities with at least 60% marks in the last examination, pursuing LL.B.

Duration

Minimum 2 months, extendable to 3 months based on performance

Stipend

₹10,000 per month

Application Process

  • Apply online only at official website from April 4–24, 2026. Applicants must be sponsored by their current institution.
  • Shortlisting is done by divisions/domains, and a personal/Skype interview may be conducted.
  • No TA/DA will be provided. The selected list will be published on the portal.
