Project Facilitator at NLU Delhi

About the Project

This project, funded by the British Council under the Going Global Partnerships (GGP) Industry-Academia Top-up Grants (2025–2026), brings together SOAS University of London and National Law University Delhi (NLUD), alongside academic and industry partners, to co-develop a joint academic qualification and a book on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

The project builds on prior collaboration on mining, business and sustainability and aims to create a high-quality, transnational educational offering for graduate students and sustainability professionals. It focuses on developing a joint advanced course covering ESG regulation, sectoral practices, international frameworks, and comparative perspectives across jurisdictions such as India, the UK, and beyond.

In parallel, the project will produce a book-length publication on legal and policy frameworks related to ESG, designed as both a teaching resource and a wider academic contribution.

Key activities include curriculum design, expert consultations, pilot delivery of the course, and integration into a future joint postgraduate programme. The project contributes to global sustainability goals by strengthening capacity in ESG education, fostering industry-academia collaboration, and promoting responsible business practices in areas such as climate action, labour, and environmental justice.
