Mody University offers a strong and thoughtfully designed infrastructure that supports both academics and campus life. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart teaching facilities. The library is well-stocked with both physical and digital resources, providing a quiet and productive study environment.

The university has good sports infrastructure, with outdoor fields and indoor facilities, encouraging overall development. Hostel rooms are comfortable, clean, and secure. A major highlight is Asia’s second-largest dining hall, which efficiently serves a large student population.

The architectural design of the campus buildings is distinctive and is even studied as part of the design school curriculum.

The academic culture is quite disciplined and structured. We have around 15–16 faculty members, most of whom are NLU graduates and are very supportive and knowledgeable.

Classes usually run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the initial years, and from the 4th semester onwards, timings are reduced to 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Attendance is very strict, with maintaining 75% being compulsory; otherwise, students can be debarred.

The peer quality is good and diverse, with students coming from various states across India. This diversity adds different viewpoints, experiences, and cultures to classroom discussions and group activities.

Students are generally supportive, competitively healthy, and open to learning from each other, which makes the overall environment engaging.

Mody University has an active co-curricular and extracurricular culture. There are several student-run bodies, such as the Legal Aid Cell, Moot Court Committee, Career Development Cell, and Sports Council, which help students gain practical exposure beyond academics.

The university also has multiple cultural clubs, including dance clubs for different dance forms, modelling clubs, and singing clubs, making campus life lively and inclusive. A major highlight is the annual Foundation Day celebration, held from 22nd January to 26th January.

It is a large-scale event that includes convocation, concerts, cultural nights, sports day, and concludes with Republic Day celebrations, bringing the entire campus together.

Placements in the law department are average, as the university is more engineering-oriented. Most law students rely on self-applied internships rather than campus placements. Students usually secure internships with law firms, advocates, NGOs, and legal offices through their own efforts and networking.

Career paths commonly chosen include litigation, judicial services, corporate law through internships, higher studies, and competitive exams. While opportunities exist, structured law placements are limited.

Rating: 2.5/5

The hostels at Mody University are very spacious and well-equipped. There are around 10 hostels with approximately 300 rooms each, offering both AC and non-AC options. Each room is shared by two students and provides ample space and comfort.

The hostels are cleaned daily, and despite having common bathrooms and washrooms, cleanliness is well maintained. Each hostel has three floors, with every floor having around 10 washrooms and 100 bathrooms, ensuring availability and convenience for students.

The best things about my college are the huge, beautiful campus and the overall vibe. The infrastructure is impressive, the hostels are super spacious and comfortable, and campus life feels safe and peaceful. I love the diversity of students from different states; you always get new perspectives and cultures to experience.

Clubs, societies, and activities keep things fun, and Foundation Day is honestly the highlight of the year, with concerts, cultural nights, sports day, and celebrations all packed into one week. It’s a good balance of discipline, freedom, and fun, which makes college life memorable.

The main downside of my college is that it doesn’t provide many opportunities for law students, especially in terms of placements and internships.
