Powered by four fours and five maximums, Sooryavanshi went on an absolute roll to put RR at the pole position in their chase of 128.

RR produced a cohesive effort with the ball, as the trio of Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, and Ravindra Jadeja scalped a couple of dismissals each.
Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad, opening the batting for CSK, were dismissed for six runs each. Ayush Mhatre, coming in at No. 3, could not even open his account. Sarfaraz Khan and Kartik Sharma joined hands to add 35 to their tally, but their resistance was breached by Jadeja and Brijesh Sharma respectively.
Jadeja, who has been a pioneer for CSK before getting traded to CSK for Samson, grabbed another key wicket of Shivam Dube, before Jamie Overton held his own with the bat lower down in the order. Overton took 36 deliveries to get to 43, and laced his knock with a couple of fours and maximums each.
Sandeep Sharma, Brijesh, and Ravi Bishnoi notched a wicket each too.
