About NLUD
The primary objective of the University is to evolve and impart comprehensive and interdisciplinary legal education that is socially relevant. Through this education, we aim to promote legal and ethical values and foster the rule of law and the objectives enshrined in the Constitution of India.
Furthermore, the University works toward dissemination of legal knowledge and its role in national development, so that the ability to analyse and present contemporary issues of public concern and their legal implications for the benefit of the public is improved.Â
Application Process

- Candidates must upload the following documents in serial order (in PDF format in one file) while submitting online application:
- Resume with complete academic details (percentage of Marks/Grade in (LL.B. and LL.M), including specialization of LL.M., publications authored or co-authored, if any
- Self-certified copy of undergraduate degree, Statement of Marks, clearly indicating date and year of graduation
- Self-certified copy of master’s degree, Statement of Marks, clearly indicating date and year of graduation
- Experience certificate, if applicable
- Statement of Purpose (750 words)
- Proposed research (750 words)

Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on an evaluation of their application contents.
- Shortlisting does not guarantee an interview or final selection.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview, the details of which will be communicated separately.
Work Expectation
- The Academic Fellow will work under the supervision of the Chair Professor or as decided by the University.
- The selected candidate must be physically present at the University on all working days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- The University reserves the right not to fill the advertised positions if suitable candidates are not found.
- The eligibility criteria listed here do not guarantee an interview or a final offer.

Remuneration
- The selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration of INR 50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand) per month (subject to TDS deduction @10% under the Income Tax Act), funded by the respective Chair.
- The appointment will be for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and the availability of funds under the respective Chair.
