NLU Delhi is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cambridge Centre for Evidence-Based Policing (CCEBP) to establish the Cambridge–NLU Delhi Centre for Research in Global Policing.
Â
This collaboration is a result of detailed discussions led by Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Lawrence Sherman and Dr. Vineet Kapoor aimed at advancing research-driven police reforms and strengthening global knowledge exchange in policing studies. The Centre will serve as a hub for pracademic engagement – integrating rigorous academic research with real-world policing practice – through evidence-based, data-driven, and interdisciplinary approaches.
Â
The Centre aims to:
- Advance comparative and action-oriented policing research
- Deliver evidence-based training and capacity-building
- Address emerging challenges in policing, including technology and public safety
- Promote international collaboration across academia, policing, and policy
Â
This partnership brings together NLU Delhi’s leadership in legal and policy research with CCEBP’s global expertise in evidence-based policing, creating a platform that is both locally grounded and globally connected.
Â
We look forward to building a dynamic and evolving Centre that contributes meaningfully to policing reform, research, and practice in India and beyond.
