1. This writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of
India has been preferred by the petitioner seeking the following
reliefs:
“1. Reservation policy as has been envisaged in
Information Booklet (Annex.1) as well as seat matrix so
provided by the respondent vide Annex.3 may kindly be
declared illegal and ultravires the Constitution of India;
2. The respondents may kindly be directed to
implement the Central Government Policy and VCI circular
so as to grant admission in the private veterinary colleges
for management quota seats and further be directed to(Uploaded on 25/03/2026 at 02:48:47 PM)

examination irrespective of their marks.
3. The criteria for considering the NEET-UG for
admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H. course and having cut off
marks of General Category candidate may kindly be
declared illegal and the respondents may kindly be
directed to admit the students in B.V. Sc. & A.H. course as
per the VCI circular of NEET-UG qualification only on the
management quota seats.
4. Any other order or direction, which this Hon’ble
Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances
of the present case may kindly be passed in the favour of
humble petitioner.”
2. At the threshold, Mr. Vyas, learned counsel appearing on
behalf of the respondent submits that the University, as a matter
of policy, has decided to discontinue conducting the Rajasthan Pre-
Veterinary Test (for short ‘the RPVT) and the same shall be done
in consonance with the policy of “one nation, one examination”.
3. In view of the aforesaid submission and the policy decision
taken by the respondents, the prayer no longer survives and the
writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. However, liberty is
reserved to the petitioner to make a representation, if any
grievance persists regarding cut-off marks/minimum qualifying
merit, and the same shall be considered and decided by the
respondents, strictly in accordance with law. All pending
applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
