National Law University Delhi was delighted to host Mr. Rossa Fanning, Attorney General of Ireland and H.E. Mr. Kevin Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland to India on 18th March 2026. The visiting delegation also included representatives from leading Irish institutions and organisations.
The delegation engaged in insightful discussions with Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Ruhi Paul, Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Amita Punj, Associate Dean (Academics), Dr. Sophy K.J., Dean (Research) and Dr. Daniel Mathew Dean (International Affairs).
The interaction provided a valuable platform to explore a wide range of collaborative opportunities, including joint academic programmes, faculty and student exchange initiatives, co-hosted conferences and workshops, and interdisciplinary research partnerships. Discussions also touched upon strengthening comparative legal studies, promoting cross-border academic dialogue, and creating pathways for NLUD faculty and students to gain international exposure and global legal perspectives.
This visit represents a meaningful step forward in NLU Delhi’s continued efforts to deepen its international engagement. By fostering strategic partnerships with leading Irish institutions, the University aims to enhance academic excellence, encourage knowledge exchange, and contribute to the development of a globally connected legal education ecosystem. The engagement further reinforces NLU Delhi’s commitment to building a strong global footprint and preparing students to navigate an increasingly interconnected legal landscape.
