[1] Present Mr. N. Jotendro, learned sr. counsel assisted by Md. Syed
Murtaza Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned GA
for the State respondent nos. 1 & 2 and Mr. K. Roshan, learned counsel on behalf
of the respondent no. 3.
[2] The petitioner, who is a president of Imphal East District Football
Association, approaches this Court, inter-alia for clarifying the interim order
dated 02.11.2022 passed by this Court in WP(C) No. 879 of 2022 thereby, staying
the order issued by respondent no. 3 regarding suspension and de-affiliation of
the petitioner’s association and it is submitted that the interim order has been
extended from time to time.
[3] During the pendency of WP(C) No. 879 of 2022, the petitioner
came to know about one newspaper report dated 2.03.2026 published in
Poknapham (Manipuri) whereby, the respondent no. 4 is organizing football
league for Imphal East District of different categories. It is submitted that the
preparation of conducting Imphal East District League by respondent no. 4 is by
an un-recognized association and the same is contrary to and violation of the
interim order passed by this Court.
[4] Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned GA for the State respondents submits
that WP(C) No. 879 of 2022 along with connected matter WP(C) No. 638 of 2022
is part heard and listed tomorrow i.e. 25.03.2026, before the Court of Hon’ble
Mr. Justice A. Bimol Singh.
[5] In the circumstances, this Court is of the opinion that it will be
appropriate to list this case along with the pending matters and the same may
be heard together.
[6] Accordingly, Registry is directed to place this matter before the
Hon’ble Chief Justice on administrative site for taking administrative approval for
listing the matter before the appropriate bench.
