1. This judgment shall dispose of two writ petitions i.e. CWP-
3414-2021 titled as ‘Darshan Singh v. State of Punjab and another’ and
CWP-3415-2021 titled as ‘Moti Lal Sharma v. State of Punjab and
another’.
2. For the sake of convenience, the detailed facts are being
taken from CWP-3414-2021 titled as ‘Darshan Singh v. State of Punjab
and another’. The petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing
the instant writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of
India, seeking a writ of certiorari for quashing the order dated

04.12.2020 (Annexure P-12), whereby the claim of the petitioner for
grant of pay and allowances for the post of Tehsildar for the period
from 19.05.2005 to 08.04.2013, when he was given the current duty
charge of the post of Tehsildar, has been rejected.
