About the Organisation

NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, established in 1998, is a premier, top-three ranked residential law school in India accredited with an “A++” grade. Known for its interdisciplinary 5-year B.A. LL.B., LL.M., and research programs, it focuses on legal education, social justice, and high-quality research, boasting strong corporate placements.

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), established in 2008 by India’s Ministry of Corporate Affairs, is an autonomous think tank and capacity-building institution based in IMT Manesar. It focuses on corporate law, governance, ESG, CSR, and insolvency, acting as a crucial advisor for policy formulation, research, and professional training in corporate affairs.

About the Opportunity

The conclave is a premier initiative by the LL.M. (Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws) Batch of 2025-27 at NALSAR University of Law, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), under the aegis of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Unlike traditional moots, the CIRP Simulation Competition is a pioneering student-driven initiative that simulates the full lifecycle of a Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process. Participants assume roles as IRPs, RPs, and Resolution Applicants, arguing before simulated NCLT and CoC panels.

Strategic Navigations in Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws.

Eligibility

  • Students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes.
  • LL.M. candidates or students in professional courses (CA, CS, CMA).
  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate students in Finance, Management, or Economics.
  • Team Structure: Exactly two (2) members from the same or different institutions.
    From one college more than one Team is Allowed, There is no Bar on that.

Registration Fee

  • Early Bird: ₹4,000 (Until 25th March 2026).
  • Regular: ₹5,000 (Until 31st March 2026).
  • Fee includes meals, refreshments, participation certificates, shared accommodation and many more things.

Prizes

Total Prize Pool: ₹80,000.

  • Winner: ₹50,000.
  • Runner-up: ₹30,000.

Important Dates

  • Early Bird Deadline: 25th March 2026.
  • Release of Problem Statement: 2nd April 2026.
  • Submission Deadline: 9th April 2026.
  • Competition Days: 11th – 12th April 2026.
