learned Standing Counsel for the NCTE for respondent Nos. 1 and 2. Also heard
Mr. I. Sheikh learned counsel, appearing on behalf of Mr. P.J. Phukan, learned
Standing Counsel, Gauhati University for respondent No. 3.
2. By this application filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a
writ in the nature of Mandamus or Certiorari, the petitioner has challenged the
impugned order dated 14.05.2025, issued by the Regional Director, Eastern
Regional Committee, NCTE, by which recognition for the B.Ed Classes
guaranteed to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishna Teacher’s Training Research Institute
(DSRTTRI), Chamata Nalbari was withdrawn. The prayer is also made by the
petitioner that the Court may direct the respondents to cancel or recall the order
dated 14.05.2025.
