1. The present writ petition, filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the
Constitution of India, is directed against the Award dated 31.08.2019 passed
by the Labour Court in LIR No. 3110/2016 (Old ID No. 332/2014), whereby
the claim application of the workman/respondent was allowed and the
petitioner/management was directed to reinstate him with full back wages
and continuity of service with all consequential benefits.
2. The workman had approached the Labour Commissioner and raised
an industrial dispute, pursuant to which a reference was made to the Labour
Court in the following terms:-
