About Karnavati University
Karnavati University (NAAC Grade A+) is a State Private University dedicated to excellence in teaching and focused on interdisciplinary learning. Spread over 33 acres of land, the University is located in Uvarsad near Gandhinagar.
Karnavati University was granted Private University status in March 2017 by the state of Gujarat through the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2017. The UWSL Centre for Research on Intellectual Property Rights (CRIPR) at Karnavati University serves as a premier platform for advancing the global and national IP regime through rigorous research and policy intervention.
By addressing the critical need for societal sensitization and legal execution, the Centre fosters scholarly dialogue on the ethical, social, and economic dimensions of intellectual property.

Submission Guidelines
- Each essay must address the theme, and must be between 3000-4000 (inclusive of diagrams, tables of data, footnotes, bibliography or authorship declaration).
- All submissions must be the original work of the candidate. While the use of AI writing tools is permitted for up to 10% of the total content strictly for preliminary research, structural outlining, or citation formatting the core legal analysis and narrative must be human-authored.
- Submissions exceeding this 10% threshold, or those failing to cite AI assistance, will result in summary rejection. Candidates must cite all sources and strictly avoid plagiarism to ensure academic integrity.
- All the entries will be blind coded for the purpose of review. Submission of an entry constitutes consent to use the participant’s data for all competition-related purposes, including submission processing, identity verification, and award-related correspondence. No part of the submission should have been published earlier, nor should it be under consideration for publication or a contest elsewhere.
- The essay should not contain names or any other marks that reveal the identity of the author.
