    About the Organizer

    The competition is organized by the IPR Cell, School of Law, AURO University, Surat.

    AURO University, established in 2011, is a private university located in Surat, Gujarat. The university is known for its interdisciplinary education and focus on innovation, leadership, and experiential learning across fields such as Law, Business, Design, Hospitality, Information Technology, Journalism, and Liberal Studies.

    The IPR Cell of the School of Law was established in 2024 to promote research, awareness, and academic engagement in the field of Intellectual Property Rights.

    About the Event

    IP Stratagem 2026 is a National Intellectual Property Strategy Competition designed to encourage students to develop practical solutions to complex intellectual property disputes.

    Unlike traditional moot court competitions, this event focuses on strategic legal thinking, issue identification, and real-world problem-solving in intellectual property disputes.

    Participants will analyse factual scenarios involving IP conflicts and propose legally sound and commercially viable strategies. The competition will be conducted in hybrid mode (online and offline) and includes drafting and oral presentation rounds before a panel of experts.

    Eligibility

    The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all academic disciplines, including:

    • Law
    • Humanities
    • Engineering
    • Management
    • Information Technology
    • Sciences
    • Design and Creative Arts

    Team Composition

    • Minimum 2 members.
    • Maximum 3 members.

    Interdisciplinary teams are allowed, but all team members must belong to the same institution.

    Competition Structure

    Round I – Preparation and Drafting

    Participants will be given a complex intellectual property dispute scenario.

    Teams must:

    • Identify legal issues.
    • Analyse infringement claims and statutory defences.
    • Evaluate legal and commercial implications.
    • Propose a resolution strategy.

    Preparation Time: 45 minutes

    Submission: 800–1000 words in Word format

    Round II – Presentation and Q&A

    Shortlisted teams will receive another IP dispute scenario.

    Participants must:

    • Identify key legal issues.
    • Develop litigation or negotiation strategies.
    • Support arguments with statutes and case laws.

    Teams will then present their strategy before a panel of judges, followed by a Q&A session.

    AURO University, Earthspace, Hazira Road, Surat, Gujarat, India.

    Mode

    Hybrid (Online + Offline).

    Accommodation is available on campus for participants attending offline.

    Registration Procedure

    Participants must register through the registration form and complete the fee payment. The link is given at the end of the post.

    Registration Fee

    • Registration Fee: ₹708 per team.
    • Accommodation (Optional): ₹900 per person per day (includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

    Prizes

    • Winning Team: ₹10,000 + Trophy
    • First Runner-Up: ₹7,000 + Trophy
    • Second Runner-Up: ₹5,000 + Trophy

    All participants will receive Certificates of Participation.

    • Competition Date: April 17, 2026.
    • Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
