          CRIMINAL PETITION NOS: 1984, 1992 & 1993 OF 2026

COMMON ORDER:

The Criminal Petition Nos.1984, 1992 & 1993 of 2026 have been filed

SPONSORED

under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023

(for brevity ‘the BNSS’), seeking to enlarge the Petitioner/Accused No.4 in

Crl.P.No.1984 of 2026, petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and

petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 on bail in Crime No.3 of

2026 of Mudivedu Police Station, Chittoor District was registered against the

Petitioners herein for the offences punishable under Sections 179, 180, 318(4)

read with 3(5) of BNS.

2. These three Criminal Petition Nos.1984, 1992 & 1993 of 2026 are heard

and disposed of by way of this common order, as the petitioners in these three

petitions are accused in the same crime.

3. The case of the prosecution, in brief, is that on credible information

about the exchange of fake currency notes, on 06.01.2026 at 6.45 p.m.,

reached Dommannabhavi Cross Road, On Kadiri-Madanapalle Road,

Kurabalakota Mandal and arrested accused Nos.2 to 4, 7 to 9 and seized fake

currency notes and mobile phones.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant

Public Prosecutor. Perused the record.

5. This Court in Crl.P.No.865 of 2026 on 18.02.2026 enlarged accused

No.2 on bail with certain stringent conditions. On perusal of the material on

record goes to show that the petitioners/accused Nos.4, 7 and 8 were arrested

on 07.01.2026 and since then they have been in judicial custody. The

petitioners/accused Nos.4 and 7 are permanent residents of Telangana State

and petitioner/accused No.8 is permanent resident of Sri Sathya Sai District.

They have got fixed abode. The petitioners/accused Nos.4, 7 and 8 also

stands on the same footing of accused No.2.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the nature and

gravity of allegations levelled against the Petitioners/Accused Nos.4, 7 and 8,

this Court is inclined to enlarge the Petitioner/Accused No.4 in Crl.P.No.1984

of 2026, petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and

petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 on bail.

7. In the result, the Criminal Petition Nos.1984, 1992 & 1993 of 2026 are

allowed, subject to the following stringent conditions.

i. The Petitioner/Accused No.4 in Crl.P.No.1984 of 2026,
petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and
petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 shall be
enlarged on bail subject to they executing bonds for a sum of

Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) each with two
sureties each for the like sum each to the satisfaction of the
learned I Additional Junior Civil Judge, Madanapalle.

ii. The Petitioner/Accused No.4 in Crl.P.No.1984 of 2026,
petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and
petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 shall appear
before the Station House Officer concerned once in a week i.e.,
on every Sunday in between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm, till further
orders.

iii. The Petitioner/Accused No.4 in Crl.P.No.1984 of 2026,
petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and
petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 shall surrender
their passports, if any, before the Trial Court and shall not leave
India without prior permission of the said Court.

iv. Petitioner/Accused No.4 in Crl.P.No.1984 of 2026,
petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and
petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 shall appear
before the Investigating Officer as and when required and shall
cooperate with further investigation, if any.

v. Petitioner/Accused No.4 in Crl.P.No.1984 of 2026,
petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and
petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 shall not
directly or indirectly tamper with evidence nor influence,
intimidate, or induce any prosecution witness.

vi. Petitioner/Accused No.4 in Crl.P.No.1984 of 2026,
petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and

petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 shall not
contact any of the prosecution witness or co-accused, except
during legal proceedings.

vii. Petitioner/Accused No.4 in Crl.P.No.1984 of 2026,
petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and
petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 shall not make
or publish or disseminate any information, statement, or post
whether in print, electronic or social media concerning the
present crime till conclusion of the trial.

viii. Petitioner/Accused No.4 in Crl.P.No.1984 of 2026,
petitioner/accused No.8 in Crl.P.No.1992 of 2026 and
petitioner/accused No.7 in Crl.P.No.1993 of 2026 shall furnish
their active mobile numbers to the Investigating Officer and shall
be available at all times and any change shall be intimated
forthwith.

8. In the event of violation of any of the above conditions, the

prosecution shall be at liberty to seek cancellation of bail.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall

stand closed.
