About AICC Law, Human Rights & RTI Department
The AICC Law, Human Rights & RTI Department is a specialized wing of the Indian National Congress responsible for monitoring legal policy, defending human rights, and using the Right to Information Act to foster accountability. Currently chaired by Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, it runs legal fellowship programs for young graduates.
About the Fellowship
The AICC Law, Human Rights & RTI Department has opened applications for the current batch of INC Legal Fellows, offering young law graduates an opportunity to work on legislative, constitutional, and policy matters.
The programme provides an opportunity to work closely with Members of Parliament and engage in key governance and policy-related work.
Programme Overview
The fellowship is designed to equip young law graduates with hands-on experience in:
- Legislative matters
- Constitutional issues
- Policy research and analysis
Role of the Fellow
Selected fellows will be involved in:
- Legislative research on Bills, amendments, and committee reports
- Drafting parliamentary questions, interventions, and debate briefs
- Monitoring key legal and policy developments impacting governance and rights
Eligibility
- Law graduates (3-year or 5-year LL.B.) from UGC-recognised universities
- Age: 24–30 years
Duration
Approximately 3 months (June to August)
Stipend
₹50,000 per month
Important Dates

- Interviews: 30 March 2026
- Final List: 10 April 2026
