Delegation visit from World Intellectual Property Organization (9th March, 2026)

We were pleased to host a distinguished delegation from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) at National Law University Delhi on 9 March 2026.

The delegation included Mr. Todd Reves, Director, Building Respect for IP Division, Global Challenges and Partnerships Sector, WIPO, and Ms. Pragya Chaturvedi, Legal Counsellor, WIPO.

The visit began with a meeting with Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. (Dr) Ruhi Paul, Registrar, NLU Delhi, along with Mr. Eashan Ghosh, IPR Chair Professor, Director – CIIPC, and Programme Director of the WIPO–NLU Delhi–IPO Joint Master’s/LL.M. in IP Law and Management.

This was followed by an engaging interaction with students of the WIPO–NLU Delhi–IPO Joint Master’s/LL.M. programme, where Mr. Reves shared valuable insights on TRIPS-plus negotiations, piracy, and tools used for monitoring counterfeiting and copyright infringement.

The day concluded with a roundtable discussion on IP enforcement and counterfeiting, focusing on real-world enforcement challenges, the evolution of TRIPS, and the growing burden on judicial systems.
