Four of the 20 fixtures feature Chennai Super Kings, including two away matches, with all games slated for evening starts. The five-time champions, title winners in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023 open their campaign with an away clash against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on March 30.
CSK then returns home to host Punjab Kings in Chennai on April 3, travels to Bengaluru to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 5, and after a six-day break, hosts Delhi Capitals at the Chepauk.
Heading into the season, Chennai made a notable shift in strategy at the IPL auction last December. Entering with the second-largest purse of ₹43.40 crore, the franchise spent more than half the amount on uncapped players a departure from their long-standing experience-first approach. They splurged ₹14.2 crore each on Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma, while also securing smart additions in Akeal Hosein and Matt Henry.
