    This petition under Section 482 of CrPC has been filed seeking
    quashment of FIR No.10 of 2024 (Annexure P-1) registered at Police Station
    A.J.K., Rewa against the petitioner for offences punishable under Sections
    376(2)(n), Indian Penal Code and Sections 3(1)(w)(ii), 3(2)(v), Scheduled
    Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities), Act.

    2. Facts of the case reveals that respondent No.2 has lodged an FIR
    No.10 of 2024 on 13.09.2024 at Police Station A.J.K., Rewa against the
    petitioner for offences punishable under sections 376(2) (n), Indian Penal
    Code and under Sections 3(1)(w)(ii), 3(2)(v), Scheduled Castes/Scheduled
    Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities), Act. The charge-sheet has not yet been
    filed. The case for the prosecution is that respondent No.2 was married to

    Rajendra Saket in 2009. There are two daughters from the marriage.
    Respondent No.2 is a political person. She is a member of the Janpad
    Panchayat, Karchuliyan from Ward No.1 and the petitioner is also a political
    person. It is alleged that respondent No.2 met the petitioner in 2018 at the
    office of the Bahujan Samaj Party. Thereafter, there were frequent meetings
    between the two at the political rallies of the party. The petitioner proposed
    marriage to respondent No.2 and established sexual relations which were
    continued till 31.03.2024. As the petitioner was refusing to marry respondent
    No.2, she lodged an FIR on 13.09.2024. The petitioner denies the fact that he
    ever proposed marriage to respondent No.2.
