About the Job
JioStar is hiring a Senior Executive – Legal (Sports) to support its Sports Legal Team (Legal & Regulatory – Contract Management). The role involves handling contractual, operational, and advisory work related to sports media rights and related agreements while assisting the business team with legal analysis and project support.
Eligibility
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain legal issues and solutions.
- Strong legal understanding of contracts and intellectual property laws.
- LL.B. degree from a recognised university
- 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret complex contracts, particularly sports media rights agreements and slot sale agreements, and provide legal analysis and summaries of relevant provisions.
- Work on tender and media rights documents issued for acquiring media rights of sports properties.
- Assist the business team with operational queries and conduct rights analysis as required.
- Support time-sensitive and high-value projects including sports media rights bids and AI-related activations.
- Summarize provisions from sports-related agreements and maintain online software trackers for contract management.
- Draft and review contracts including talent, endorsement, agency, sub-licensing, distribution, advertisement sales, and service agreements.
- Collaborate with internal legal teams as well as business and operational teams to provide legal advice on day-to-day matters.
- Provide legal guidance on contract law, intellectual property rights (including copyright), and developments related to Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).
