1. By way of present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the
Constitution of India, the petitioner seeks to assail the order dated
16.06.2023 passed by the learned Authority under the Minimum Wages Act,
1948 whereby the petitioner has been directed to pay a sum of Rs.3,24,579/-,
which is imposed by the Authority under Section 20(3)(i) of the Minimum
Wages Act towards penalty.
2. Briefly stated, the respondent no.1 had approached the learned
Authority being aggrieved by the action of the petitioner in failing to pay the
minimum wages for the following periods:-
