The Valedictory Address was delivered by the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manmohan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, who highlighted the role of moots in the overall development of advocacy skills among aspiring lawyers, as well as the growing significance of insolvency as an emerging practice area.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Professor (Dr.) G. S. Bajpai, Senior Professor and Vice-Chancellor, National Law University Delhi, who reflected on the contributions of Late Shri Arun Jaitley, who served as a member of the Governing Board of NLU Delhi for several years and provided valuable guidance and support to the University.
Special Addresses were delivered by Ms. Pooja Mahajan, President, INSOL India, and Mr. Sandip Garg, Whole-Time Member, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI); who highlighted the instrumental role played by Late Shri Arun Jaitley in the enactment of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Ruhi Paul, Registrar, NLUD; and the programme was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Risham Garg, Professor of Law, NLU Delhi, and Director of the Arun Jaitley International Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot.
