The Centre for Law and Economics (CLE) functions under the School of Law, Bennett University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Bennett University is a State Private University established under Act No. 24 of 2016 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and promoted by the Times Group (Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd.), India’s largest media conglomerate with a legacy of over 180 years.
About the University
Extending the core journalistic principles of trust, knowledge and public service, Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. (BCCL) established over 180 years ago, has continually undertaken initiatives for the betterment of Indian society.
The group started expanding into the education sector with the launch of TimesPro which focuses on short-term courses for enhancing employability. It then launched Bennett University, a State Private university in Uttar Pradesh with the aim of providing Ivy League quality education to undergraduate and postgraduate students making them ‘life and career ready’.
About the Event
The Centre for Law and Economics, School of Law, Bennett University is pleased to announce the 2nd Edition of International Conference on “Law, Economics and Contemporary Challenges”, scheduled to be held on 2–3 September 2026 in Hybrid Mode at Bennett University, Greater Noida.
The conference aims to explore the interdisciplinary relationship between law and economics, examining how economic analysis can inform legal doctrine, regulatory frameworks and public policy. It seeks to provide a scholarly platform for meaningful engagement between academia, legal practitioners, policymakers, economists, industry stakeholders and civil society to deliberate upon contemporary challenges and emerging trends at the interface of law, economics, and governance.
Who Is It For / Eligibility
The conference invites original and unpublished research papers from:
- Academicians and faculty members
- Research scholars and Ph.D. candidates

Co-authorship is permitted for up to three authors per paper.

Registration Details
- Abstract Length: 1000–1200 words
- Format: MS Word (.doc/.docx) only
- Abstracts must include a cover page with author details and keywords.
- Selected abstracts will be intimated via email, followed by registration and payment instructions.
- Full papers (5000–8000 words) will be subject to a double-blind peer review process.
