Internship Experience @ BPTP Ltd., Sector 94, Noida

Asmita Shrivastava

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Indore

BPTP Ltd., Sector 94, Noida, Uttar Pradesh

2 months internship: 1st December 2025 – 31st January 2026

I secured this internship through LinkedIn, and the process taught me an important lesson about professional outreach.

The office infrastructure at BPTP Ltd. was professional, well-maintained, and reflective of a structured corporate setup. The workspace was organized, with dedicated departments functioning systematically, which immediately conveyed the scale and seriousness of the operations.

On the first day of the internship, all interns were asked to report at 10:30 AM. We were given a brief orientation about the nature of the internship, the expectations from interns, and the workflow of the legal department.

After completing the necessary formalities, we were introduced to our respective mentors and senior members of the team.

Each intern was assigned a mentor, which made the learning process more structured and approachable. The official working hours were from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, requiring interns to complete a full nine-hour workday.

This schedule helped us experience the real rhythm of corporate functioning and understand the professionalism required in an in-house setup.

During my internship at BPTP Ltd., my work primarily involved legal research and regulatory analysis in the real estate sector.

I researched SCC judgments and reviewed orders passed by Haryana RERA, UP RERA, SCDRC, NCDRC, and the Supreme Court, particularly in matters relating to delayed possession, structural defects, builder-buyer agreements, and pre-deposit requirements under Section 43(5) of RERA.

I regularly monitored RERA updates and prepared concise case briefs and summaries for internal reference. Additionally, I researched key statutes such as the Haryana Building Code, 2017, the TCP Haryana Act, the CLRA Act, 1970, and the draft Labour Codes.

I assisted in drafting legal applications and reviewing commercial documents, including lease deeds and maintenance agreements.

The work environment at BPTP Ltd. was professional yet approachable. The seniors and mentors were accessible and open to clarifying doubts, which made the learning process smoother and more structured.

Despite the demanding nature of corporate work, they ensured that interns understood the purpose behind each task rather than merely completing it mechanically.

Regular interactions with the team helped me gain practical insights into how legal strategy aligns with real estate matters.

Overall, the supportive and professional work culture made the internship both comfortable and intellectually enriching.

The structured workflow of the legal department ensured clarity in assignments and expectations. The mentors were approachable and provided constructive feedback, which helped refine my research and drafting skills.

The fixed working hours also helped simulate the professionalism and consistency required in an in-house corporate role.

In addition, the overall office infrastructure was well-managed and employee-friendly. Basic amenities, including readily available coffee throughout the day, contributed to a comfortable working environment.

The office premises had an in-house cafeteria with multiple food outlets, and interns were provided with a daily meal credit of ₹91, which reflected the organisation’s inclusive and supportive approach towards interns.

There were no major concerns during the internship. The only minor issue faced was that sometimes there were technical glitches in the desktops assigned to interns, which, at times, affected the workflow.

However, these were operational issues rather than structural concerns and did not significantly impact the overall learning experience.

Rs. 10,000/- per month

During the internship, I stayed in a PG accommodation located approximately 1.5 km from the office, which made the daily commute convenient and manageable.

Noida offers a wide range of PG options, particularly in areas close to corporate hubs, making it relatively easy for interns to find suitable accommodation.

Beyond the core legal work, one of the most valuable aspects of this internship was observing how different departments function in coordination within a corporate setup. Interacting with professionals from various teams helped me understand how legal advice supports business, finance, and operational decisions in real time.

This cross-functional exposure enhanced my communication skills and strengthened my professional networking abilities.

Outside work hours, informal interactions during lunch breaks also contributed to the overall experience. The cafeteria setting provided opportunities to interact with colleagues across teams, which made the environment more welcoming and helped build comfortable professional relationships.

Overall, the internship not only strengthened my research and drafting skills but also improved my confidence in navigating a structured corporate environment, managing time efficiently, and adapting to professional expectations.
