Preview of my new novel Bhadrapuri- Blood on the Dunes

Hari Om Friends,

I hope all of you are doing well. I have pretty much finished writing my second historical novel. This, like Indrajit- Sorcerer of Sistan, is set in 7th century Gandhara or Afghanistan. However, it is completely independent of Indrajit’s storyline and is a much more complex and nuanced work.

It revolves around the fortunes of a small kingdom called Bhadrapuri, with the capital city of the same name. The kingdom is ruled by a branch of the Shahi Kings of Kapisa. Set on the border with Persia, the kingdom punches above its weight and fights back against the Islamic invaders.

This is the first part of a trilogy and the name Bhadrapuri- Blood on the Dunes is just a placeholder. It will probably have a different title when published.
