About the Opportunity
IndiaLaw LLP is seeking a detail-oriented and committed Real Estate Associate to join their Corporate Real Estate team at Mumbai Fort. This is a non-litigation role focused on transactional, advisory, and compliance work across commercial, industrial, and residential real estate matters.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognized university; certifications in real estate law or RERA are an advantage
- 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in real estate transactional work (non-litigation), preferably in a law firm or corporate legal team
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with land laws, RERA, stamp duty, and registration processes
- Excellent communication and client-handling abilities
- Ability to manage multiple assignments independently and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal due diligence and title verification for properties across jurisdictions
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documentation including lease deeds, leave and license agreements, sale/conveyance deeds, development agreements, MoUs, and term sheets
- Advise clients on land acquisition, joint development structures, and regulatory compliance under RERA, stamp duty, and registration laws
- Coordinate with clients, developers, and government authorities for documentation, approvals, and registrations
- Prepare legal opinions and transaction notes for internal and client use
- Stay updated on real estate laws, municipal regulations, and market practices
