The Criminal Petition under Sections 480 and 483 of Bharatiya
Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2024 (for short ‘BNSS’) has been filed by the
Petitioner/Accused No.2, seeking regular bail in Cr.No.153 of 2025 of Yadiki
Police Station, Anathapuram District, registered for the offences punishable
under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 118(1), 109(1) read with 190 of BNS.
2. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that this is a case of rioting
with deadly on 08.10.2025 at about 6.30 PM at P.Vengannapalli Village,
Yadiki Mandal, wherein the accused A1 to A10 all are resident of
P.Vengannapalli Village, Yadiki Mandal, were formed, themselves into
unlawful assembly armed with deadly weapons i.e., Iron rods, axes and
sickles and attacked the complainant G.Viswanatha, attempted on his life
with intent to kill him with iron rods, axes and sickles and caused bleeding
injuries. On seeing the same his elder brother Ranganatha came to his
rescue, the accused No.6 also hacked with a sickle on the right hand of
Ranganatha and caused bleeding injuries on his right hand thumb, and also
hacked on his back side with axe and caused bleeding injury. Basing on the
complaint of the defacto-complainant, case was registered against the
accused.
