About the Competition

The tournament adopts an innovative approach in organising the Mock Trial Competition, as it is generally held that experience in trial courts is indispensable for developing a “complete” lawyer, as it translates theoretical knowledge into practical, battle-tested advocacy skills that cannot be learned in a classroom.

While academic brilliance is respected, many judges emphasise that courtroom experience fosters necessary intuition, empathy, and procedural proficiency. classical Mace-style debating, emphasising structured argumentation, analytical depth, and collaborative synthesis.

Eligibility

The competition is open to students enrolled in undergraduate LL.B. programmes (3-year and 5-year) as well as post-graduate students. Each team shall consist of two speakers and one associate, and one team may participate from each Institution.
