About the Competition
Vinculum 2026 is an experiential learning initiative aimed at strengthening contract drafting competencies among law students. Inspired by the concept of vinculum juris—a binding legal obligation—the competition focuses on real-world transactional drafting within the entertainment and media industry.
Participants will assume the role of legal counsel and draft structured, enforceable, and commercially viable agreements based on a practical problem statement. The competition emphasizes:
- Precision in legal drafting
- Commercial awareness and risk allocation
- Protection of client interests
- Industry-oriented contractual frameworks
The problem statements will reflect contemporary commercial realities, particularly within entertainment, media, and intellectual property transactions such as licensing and production collaborations.
Eligibility
The competition is open to law students enrolled in:
- 3-year LL.B. programmes
