About the Job
Applications are invited for the position of Program Associate – South-South Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) under a UN Volunteer assignment with UNICEF.
The role supports initiatives related to South-South and Triangular Cooperation, contributing to program coordination and international collaboration efforts.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, International Development, Public Communications, Monitoring and Evaluation or related field.
- At least 3 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in international development, partnerships, project management or in communication, or other relevant programmes; experience with development organizations is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization.
- At least 3 years of professional experience preferred in areas of advocacy, social mobilization, communication, program planning and public advocacy and/or related areas in development organisations.
- Experience and competency in general M&E, knowledge management and reports drafting required.
- Excellent oral and written English skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
- Ability to work in multi-functional team, dual role of leading as well as collaborating across teams.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment.
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines. • Sound security awareness.
- Have affinity with or interest in Children’s rights, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.
