WIPO Delegation Visit (18th February, 2026)

We were delighted to host a distinguished delegation from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) at National Law University Delhi, reaffirming the strong academic partnership between WIPO and NLUD through the WIPO–NLUD-IPO Joint Master’s/LL.M. Programme.

The interaction session, organised by Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition (CIIPC)-IPR Chair, NLU Delhi, brought together the visiting dignitaries and a cohort of 70 students enrolled in the programme.

Mr. Kenichiro Natsume, Assistant Director General, WIPO, encouraged students to approach intellectual property from a global perspective, while Dr. Ulrike Till, Director, IP and Frontier Technologies Division, invited participants to broaden their understanding of frontier technologies beyond AI and reflect on their wider implications. The engaging discussions left students inspired and intrigued.

The visit concluded with a meeting with Prof. (Dr.) Ruhi Paul, Registrar, NLUD, along with Mr. Eashan Ghosh, Programme Director, and Ms. Nishtha Sharma, Programme Coordinator.

Prof. (Dr.) Ruhi Paul expressed gratitude for the continued collaboration, with the visit marked by a token of appreciation, as we value our enriching engagement and ongoing partnership with WIPO in creating meaningful learning opportunities and global exposure for the academic committee at NLU Delhi.
