About the Organisers
The School of Law, Joy University, is dedicated to excellence in legal education, advocacy training, and professional development. The institution strives to nurture competent, ethical, and socially responsible legal professionals through experiential learning, research-oriented teaching, and skill-based training.
Through academic initiatives such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and moot court competitions, the School of Law actively promotes analytical reasoning, courtroom skills, and practical exposure for law students.
Details of the Event
The Sardar Dr. S.A. Raja Memorial Second National Level Moot Court Competition 2026 is conceived as a premier national platform for law students to demonstrate and refine their advocacy skills, research abilities, and courtroom etiquette.
The competition aims to:
- Encourage critical thinking and legal analysis
- Promote research excellence and persuasive advocacy
- Foster professionalism and ethical conduct
- Provide exposure to competitive court simulations
The event will consist of preliminary rounds, knockout rounds, semi-finals, and a final round, judged by esteemed legal academicians and professionals.
Competition Highlights
- Dates: 26th – 28th March, 2026
- Mode: Offline (Physical Rounds at Campus)
- Team Composition: Two Mooters and One Researcher (Researcher optional)
- Accommodation: Provided to outstation participants for the duration of the competition
Eligibility
- Students enrolled in 3-Year LL.B. or 5-Year LL.B. programmes
- Participants must be from institutions recognized by the Bar Council of India
- Each team shall comprise two Mooters and one Researcher (optional)
How to Register?
- Teams must complete the registration process by submitting the duly filled registration form.
- The registration fee must be paid as per the instructions provided in the brochure.
- Confirmation of participation will be communicated upon successful registration and fee payment.
- Memorials must be prepared strictly in accordance with the rules and formatting guidelines mentioned in the brochure.
- Soft copies of memorials must be submitted via email on or before the prescribed date.
- Hard copies of memorials must reach the organizing committee within the stipulated deadline.

- Last Date for Registration: 07th March, 2026
- Memorial Submission (Soft Copy): On or before 17th March, 2026
- Memorial Submission (Hard Copy): On or before 20th March, 2026
- Competition Dates: 26th – 28th March, 2026
Fee
Registration Fee: ₹3,500/- per team.
Prizes
The competition offers the following awards:
- Winner: ₹30,000/-
- Runner-Up: ₹18,000/-
- Best Memorial: ₹10,000/-
- Best Researcher: ₹5,000/-
- Best Speaker (Male): ₹5,000/-
- Best Speaker (Female): ₹5,000/-
- Certificates of participation will be awarded to all teams.
