The School of Law, Central University of Haryana (CUH) proudly announces its 1st National Moot Court Competition on the theme of Criminal Law. This prestigious event aims to sharpen advocacy, research, and courtroom skills among budding lawyers across India.
Event Details:
- Dates: 28th – 29th March, 2026
- Venue: Academic Block 3, CUH, Mahendragarh – 123031
- Registration Deadline: 14th March, 2026
- Registration Fee: ₹3000 per team (inclusive of lunch)
- Additional ₹1000 per team for accommodation (includes breakfast & dinner)
- Mode: Offline, at CUH Campus
Eligibility & Team Composition:
- Open to students enrolled in LL.B. (3-year/5-year) courses.
- Each institution may register one team per campus.
- Team size: 3 members (2 speakers + 1 researcher).
Competition Format:
- Rounds: Preliminary, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals.
- Memorials:
- Two memorials required (Petitioner & Respondent).
- Soft copy submission: 21st March, 2026 (11:59 PM)
- Hard copy submission: 24th March, 2026
- Evaluation based on knowledge, research depth, clarity, legal writing, and formatting (Bluebook 20th Edition).
- Oral Rounds:
- Preliminary & Quarterfinals: 20 minutes per team
- Semifinals: 30 minutes per team
- Finals: 40 minutes total
- Researcher’s Test: Best researcher award based on proposition knowledge & research skills.
Awards & Prizes:
- Best Team (Winners): ₹30,000 + SCC Online subscription (1 year)
- Runners-Up: ₹20,000 + SCC Online subscription (1 year)
- 2nd Runners-Up: ₹10,000
- Best Speaker: ₹5,000
- Best Researcher: ₹5,000
- Best Memorial: ₹5,000
- Certificates for all participants
