Call for Papers:

New and Emerging Voices in Constitutional Law 2026
UCD Centre for Constitutional Studies | UCD Sutherland School of Law

The UCD Centre for Constitutional Studies at UCD Sutherland School of Law is delighted to announce the third edition of its annual New and Emerging Voices in Constitutional Law symposium. Co-organised by Professor Eoin Carolan and Dr Seána Glennon (University of Ottawa Public Law Centre), this in-person event provides a platform for early career scholars to present their research, engage with peers, and contribute to contemporary debates in constitutional law.

Eligibility:

Applications are welcome from:

  • PhD candidates
  • Postdoctoral researchers
  • Lecturers and Assistant Professors (within five years of appointment)

Submission Guidelines:

  • Abstract: Title + max. 300 words
  • Deadline: Friday, 13 March 2026
  • Submission Emails:

Selected participants will be expected to submit a more detailed paper in advance of the symposium to facilitate substantive discussion.

Contributions may address:

  • Constitutional law
  • Constitutional politics

  • Comparative and interdisciplinary perspectives
