About Law Centre II:

Founded in 1971, Law Centre II has grown into one of India’s premier institutions for legal education, with a proud legacy spanning more than fifty years. Situated at Umang Bhawan, Chhatra Marg, the Centre serves nearly 3,000 students and is equipped with modern academic facilities.

The Centre is known for its emphasis on ethical legal training, critical inquiry, and research-driven pedagogy. Its alumni community includes respected academicians, researchers, advocates, members of the judiciary, and senior administrators who continue to shape the legal and policy landscape of India.


Model United Nations Conference 2.0:

The second edition of the Law Centre II MUN is designed to replicate international and national decision-making forums, giving participants an opportunity to sharpen skills in research, negotiation, articulation, and diplomacy.

Guided by the Faculty of Law’s academic ethos, the conference seeks to foster meaningful dialogue on global peace, democratic institutions, and governance.

Theme: “Where Diplomacy Meets Purpose” – highlighting the importance of substantive debate and responsible leadership.


Committees & Agendas:

  • United Nations General Assembly – Disarmament and International Security Committee (UNGA-DISEC)
    Agenda: Preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, with a focus on the Iran Nuclear Deal.
  • All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM)
    Agenda: Electoral reforms in India, with emphasis on strengthening the independence of the Election Commission.
  • International Press
    Responsible for journalistic coverage, analytical reporting, and photographic documentation of proceedings.

Eligibility:

Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines. Prior MUN experience is not required.


Registration Details:

  • DU Students: ₹1000
  • Non-DU Students: ₹1180 (inclusive of GST)

Registrations:

  • Open: 15th January 2026
  • Close: 15th March 2026
  • Conference Dates: 28th – 29th March 2026
  • Venue: Law Centre II, University of Delhi

Awards & Recognition:

Participants will be evaluated on research quality, procedural adherence, and contributions to deliberations. Awards include:

  • Best Delegate
  • High Commendation
  • Best Journalist
  • Best Photographer

Cash prizes and certificates will be awarded, with all participants receiving a certificate of participation.
