This Complainant has presented the complaint on
10.02.2023 against the accused for the offense punishable
under Sec.138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881
(hereinafter it is referred to as NI Act).

2. THE BRIEF FACTS OF THE COMPLAINANT’S CASE
ARE AS UNDER:-

a) It is the case of the complainant that the accused
is his friend and well known to him for the past several years.

The accused had obtained hand loan of Rs.3,30,000/- (Rupees
Three Lakhs Thirty Thousand only) during the 2 nd week of
March 2022 from the complainant for his building contract
business, with an assurance to repay the same within 6
months. After completion of 6 months, when the complainant
demanded the accused for repayment of said hand loan
amount, the accused had issued two cheques bearing Nos. 1)
158478, for Rs.1,70,000/- (Rs. One Lakh Seventy Thousand
only) and 2) 158479, for Rs.1,60,000/- (Rs. One Lakh Sixty
Thousand only) dated 21.09.2022, drawn on Corporation
Bank, Kengeri Satellite Town Branch, Bengaluru, in favour of
the complainant, towards discharge of his liability.
