This is an appeal filed by the appellant/accused
aggrieved against the judgment passed by XIV ACJM,
Bengaluru, in CC No.55259/2023 on 02.04.2025 convicting
the appellant for the offence punishable u/S 138 of N.I. Act
and sentencing him to pay a fine of Rs.8,20,000/- and in
default to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 4
months.
2. The appellant was the accused and respondent
herein was the complainant before the trial court and
CRL.A. No.25159/2025
hereinafter they are referred to as per the ranks assigned to
them before the trial court.
3. In brief the appellant/accused has stated in the
memorandum of appeal that the trial court has convicted him
in C.C. No.55259/2023 for the offence punishable u/S 138
of N.I. Act by holding that he has issued the cheque bearing
No.304254, dated 23.2.2023 for sum of Rs.6,00,000/- in
favour of the complainant. The said judgment has been
