About the Internship

Applications are invited for internship on a rolling basis at the Chambers of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the instructions and eligibility requirements before applying. Submission of an application does not guarantee selection, and internships are offered subject to scrutiny by the competent authority.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be in the fourth or fifth year of a 5-year law programme or in the final year of a 3-year LL.B. programme
• The eligibility requirement may be relaxed based on demonstrable experience, knowledge, and legal skills
• Applicants must have completed at least one internship at trial courts and one internship at any High Court in India
• Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable experience of judicial internships

Selection Process

• Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the competent authority for assessment of legal knowledge, demeanor, and communication skills
• Failure to respond to such communication may lead to cancellation of candidature
• Selected candidates are generally informed three to four weeks prior to joining and are required to confirm at least two weeks before the joining date
• In case of vacancies or cancellations, shortlisted candidates may be contacted closer to the joining date

Important Information

• Candidates are required to make their own arrangements for lodging, boarding, and travel
• The internship is unpaid and does not entitle the intern to any remuneration
