Acting under Section 278(2) of BNSS,
accused is held guilty and convicted for the
offence punishable under Section 138 of
Negotiable Instruments Act.
Accused is sentenced to pay a fine of
₹5,00,000/-. In default to pay fine, accused
shall undergo simple imprisonment for a
period of five months.
Out of the realized fine amount, a sum of
₹4,90,000/- is ordered to be paid to the
complainant as compensation and the
remaining sum of ₹10,000/- shall be defrayed
to State.
