Kaunyak 2026, NMIMS Hyderabad’s 1 st UG Fest, organised by SVKM’s NMIMS Hyderabad, is a national-level undergraduate law fest designed to foster academic excellence, professional skill development, and holistic engagement among law students across India.
The fest brings together diverse legal, creative, and cultural competitions that reflect the evolving demands of the legal profession while encouraging innovation, ethical practice, and interdisciplinary learning.

- 4th NMIMS Moot Court Competition, 2026
The NMIMS Hyderabad Moot Court Competition, 2026, provides participants with a rigorous platform to engage in simulated appellate advocacy. The competition focuses on contemporary legal issues, particularly in the domain of law and technology, including challenges arising from the metaverse, immersive technologies, data protection, intermediary liability, and digital regulation. Participants are required to apply existing legal frameworks to evolving technological contexts, thereby strengthening their research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills. The competition aims to cultivate analytical thinking, persuasive argumentation, and professional courtroom etiquette. - 1st NMIMS Mock Trial Competition, 2026
Organised by the Trial Advocacy Committee, the Mock Trial Competition offers a realistic courtroom experience that bridges theoretical legal education with practical application. Participants assume the roles of advocates and engage in examinations, cross-examinations, framing of legal arguments, and interaction with judges based on complex factual scenarios. Emphasis is placed on litigation strategy, procedural law, ethical conduct, and effective oral advocacy. The Client Counselling Competition simulates real-life client interviews conducted in a law office setting. The Online Quiz Competition on Intellectual Property Law is conducted in two stages: an online preliminary round and a live online final round. Open to undergraduate students from all disciplines, the competition tests participants’ conceptual clarity and knowledge of IP law through multiple-choice questions.
