We were honoured to host Mr. David Grant, Partner and London Office Managing Partner at Troutman Pepper Locke LLP, for a guest session with the students of the Post Graduate Insolvency Programme (PGIP) at National Law University Delhi on 27 January 2026, coordinated by Dr. Raghav Pandey, Director, PGIP.
Â
Mr. Grant is a senior international insolvency and restructuring practitioner and serves as a member of the Global Advisory Board of the PGIP. Drawing on his extensive cross-border practice, he offered a comparative global perspective on insolvency and restructuring laws, highlighting how legal frameworks and approaches differ across jurisdictions.
Â
The session then moved to the practical realities of insolvency practice, emphasising the importance of professional judgment, transparency, and restraint in a field inherently shaped by uncertainty. Through real-world experiences, Mr. Grant reflected on the ethical and human dimensions of insolvency, including managing stakeholder expectations, navigating difficult disclosures, and the responsibilities borne by Insolvency Professionals in complex and sensitive situations.
Â
During the visit, Mr. Grant inaugurated the official website of the Post Graduate Insolvency Programme (PGIP), marking an important step in strengthening the programme’s academic and institutional presence.
